VIDEO: Thursday Evening Weather Blog (4/24) -- Weekend Weather Changes

As a large upper-level system swings across the Rockies and into the Central Plains this weekend, a large portion of the country will be monitoring the radar for thunderstorms Saturday through Monday.

A multi-day severe weather risk will start across parts of West Texas and Oklahoma on Saturday and continue to slowly east by the start of next week.

While there is the possibility of severe weather -- including in the Brazos Valley Sunday -- there are still plenty of details to iron out with this weekend system.

Chief Meteorologist Shel Winkley has the latest details on a possible storm chance, plus cooler, windy weather on tap for next week.
