Bryan Residents Asked To Conserve Water

By: City of Bryan Press Release
By: City of Bryan Press Release

Due to the potentially destructive forces associated with the pending arrival of Hurricane Ike, the City of Bryan is asking all residents to conserve water until further notice. If the electrical supply is interrupted to the city’s water production facilities, conserving water will maximize the availability of water held in storage.

Conservation includes no washing of clothes, no excessive internal water usage, and no outside water usage. If you have an automatic irrigation system, please turn those systems off at this time.

Once the extent of the storm damage has been assessed, additional updates will be provided. Residents are encouraged to fill containers tonight prior to the arrival of the storm for future use.
