With so many out-of-town guests in Brazos County, getting all of them fed can be a challenge. But not as long as you have volunteers like the Texas Baptist Men helping out.
Members of the East Texas region of Texas Baptist Men arrived at First Baptist Bryan Friday morning and went to work immediately cooking up enough stew and vegetables to feed 2,300 evacuees. The group also brought cases of bottled water to hand out.
Once the meals were prepared, the Red Cross shuttled them to local shelters.
The Texas Baptist Men provide emergency relief across the world in times of crisis.
