Huntsville, Walker County Officials Release Instructions

Officials in Huntsville and surrounding Walker County are urging residents to stay at home and continue to shelter in place. They also ask that travel be restricted to emergencies only.

Tropical force winds of 25-35 mph are expected throughout the day Saturday. Rainfall between 3-6 inches, with pockets of up to 12 inches, are also expected.

Officials are working with Entergy, SECO and Mid South Synergy to assess damage and begin restoration of service. There has been no official estimation as to when power may be restored.
