Hilton Lends a Helping Hand by Bagging Ice

Hundreds of bags of ice have been filled and are being stored at the College Station Hilton.

The bags will be moved out Wednesday morning to be distributed at several locations in the Brazos Valley.

Hilton General Manager Barron Hobbs says he was watching News 3 when heard the call for ice and he just reacted.

"We've probably got a couple of thousand pounds of ice when the bins are full, so I talked to Mike Wrght about making this happen, he brought the bags and we got this put together in a couple of hours. We started filling the bags and went through four bins," said Hilton General Manager Barron Hobbs.

Because thee are so many people who need bags of ice, News 3 has been asked not announce where the bags are headed until they get there.
