Dancing Near 100° -- Shot at Late Week Rain

Temperatures flared up, a few degrees hotter, Tuesday -- as high pressure is in the process of stretching over Texas, once again. That leads us into another hot & dry day Wednesday -- morning clouds will give way to afternoon sun. Daytime highs are expected to reach between 97° and 101° area-wide. Heat index values are expected at 102° or hotter.

Heat goes nowhere as we slide into late week / the weekend -- afternoon highs are expected to top off near / at 100°. Friday brings a shift of wind out of the north / northeast. That combined with a slug of increased moisture from the east could produce scattered areas of rain and thunderstorms (30%). Slightly lower humidity for the weekend, sure...but hot highs around the century mark are still expected.
