*Update* A Severe Thunderstorm WARNING is in effect parts of Leon county until 5:45 p.m. Strong winds are a concern with this storm, and they may knock down trees or power lines or damage buildings.
A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for parts of Robertson and Leon counties until 7:30 p.m.
Heavy rains are causing Flooding in portions of the Brazos Valley. An upper level disturbance that moved in from the West dumped more than 6 inches of rain in parts of the San Antonio area before moving East into the Brazos Valley.
Lee county has been placed under a Flash Flood Watch until 7 p.m. and a Flood Advisory has been issued for Milam and Robertson counties until 6:15 p.m.
Weather watchers in the Brazos Valley have already reported totals between half an inch to an inch and a half in just a couple of hours.
This system is moving slowly to the Northeast, and heavy downpours are still possible over the next several hours.
