Wednesday Blog (4/17): Another Strong Cold Front on the Way
Updated: 04/17/2013 -
With last year's terrible drought conditions in recent memory, many across the Brazos Valley were hoping for rain. However, many of us got too much of a good thing.
Anywhere from three to ten inches of rain fell across many locations in the Brazos Valley as an upper level disturbance moved very slowly into a very moist airmass over Central and Southeast Texas.
Grimes county was one of the harder hit areas in the Brazos Valley, with several road closures resulting from more rain than the ground could take in.
Flash flooding is especially dangerous at night, when it's even more difficult to tell how deep the water is in front of you.
