Schools and businesses in the area have closed and sheltered anyone there in place.
All Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) trains have stopped running.
Oncor is reporting some 360 power outages in Denton County.
The hailstorm moved onto more sparsely populated areas east of Denton.
