 Late
this afternoon, more isolated showers and strong storms are possible as the remnants of a storm complex in north Texas move overhead. This
boundary will interact with the unstable air to give us the slight rain chance, and any storms that do pop could briefly turn severe with a
few small hailstones and frequent lightning. Otherwise, the heat is on...and summer still hasn't arrived!
 Isolated showers
and thunderstorms brought locally heavy rainfall to the Brazos Valley again Wednesday afternoon. A few locales received over one inch of
rain in Grimes and Brazos Counties, but they were the exception. Rain chances for the rest of the week will drop to near zero after today as
temperatures rise to near 100. Heat indices will rocket up to 105 degrees, so make sure to drink plenty of fluids and cool off from time to
time when spending time outdoors. |
