COVID in Context: For past two weeks, cases in 18-24 age group trend up while others trend down

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Every day, the Brazos County Health District reports a number of new cases. Since August, BCHD has also reported the percentage of those new cases in 18-24-year-olds.

For the past two weeks, those reported percentages translate into this breakdown of case origination:

When a trendline is added, it can be seen that new cases among 18-24-year-olds are increasing for the past two weeks, while cases among all other ages are decreasing.

Overall, 47% of new cases in Brazos County for the past two weeks have come from 18-24-year-olds.
