Highway 79 closed Wednesday night at Robertson County

MARQUEZ, Texas (KBTX) - Highway 79 in Leon County near the Navasota River was closed Wednesday evening due to a crash.

Just after 6:00 p.m., an alert was issued by the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office notifying drivers that the roadway would be closed in both directions. A dispatcher for Robertson County said the crash happened in Leon County.

A dispatcher for Leon County Sheriff’s Office said she couldn’t release any information at this time. A dispatcher for DPS said he did not have any other details immediately available.
