CALDWELL, Texas (KBTX) - The quick intensification of a thunderstorm moving through Burleson County Wednesday evening caused minor flooding issues and a downed tree in Caldwell.

The brief severe storm brought heavy rain, frequent lightning, hail, and gusty winds to the area before quickly dissipating as it trekked northeast and moved into the eastern half of the county.

As a stalled front drapes across the central portion of the state -- eyes will be on rain and thunderstorms to the north and west of the Brazos Valley through the rest of the evening to see if additional activity develops or can drift into portions of the area.

If that is the case, the latest information on local rain and thunderstorms can be found on-air, online, and on your KBTX PinPoint Weather App.
