Free concert series kicks off in Caldwell
The first of three concerts is planned for Saturday night.
CALDWELL, Texas (KBTX) - The Caldwell Main Street Program is hosting the inaugural Downtown Caldwell concert series with the first concert kicking off Saturday.
The goal of the series is to provide the community with a fun music-filled evening in Downtown Caldwell.
T. Cole and the Austin Party Band will be the first band to play in the series. The band will play from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday.
The concert stage will be located at the intersection of Buck and Echols Streets. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets and grab a spot around the Burleson County courthouse.
Grab and go drinks and food will be available at the following businesses to enjoy during the concert:
- Funky Junky
- Open until 8 p.m.
- Lissa’s Restyled Sip & Shop
- Open until 9 p.m.
- The Old Post Office
- Open until 10 p.m.
“The concert series is being funded by sponsorships and donations to the Friends of Main Street organization, a registered 501(c)3,” according to the City of Caldwell Main Street Program.” They currently include Citizens State Bank, J7 Services, Burleson County Title Company, Main Street Gym, Strickland’s Funeral Homes, Dr. Nathan Bryan, ACCO Dev. LLC, Caldwell Planning Services, Humble Life, Funky Junky and BB&T.”
The organization is still accepting sponsors and donations for upcoming concerts that are part of the new series, which are planned to take place on July 10 and Aug. 14.
