BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - At least five vehicles were destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon inside an auto shop on Colson Road near Highway 6 in Bryan.

The fire was reported just before 1:00 p.m. in the 3500 block of Colson Road near Clarks Lane.

When firefighters arrived they reported thick smoke pouring out of the building and fire visible from the outside.

It’s unclear who owns the building or the name of the auto shop but it appears most of the inside was damaged by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.

One man on the scene of the fire told us he was scheduled to pick up his vehicle on Saturday from the shop. When he arrived today he saw the building was engulfed in flames. He’s hoping his vehicle is salvageable.

The total number of vehicles inside the shop at the time of the fire wasn’t immediately available.
