COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Authorities say a police chase starting in Navasota has led to College Station Saturday evening.

Grimes County officials say a stolen vehicle out of College Station was reported in Navasota when one of the suspects has reportedly flashed a gun. When Navasota police responded to the scene, the suspect fled and headed northbound on Highway 6.

Grimes County Sheriff’s Office said the stolen vehicle was driving recklessly at speeds of 90 to 110 mph. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to this pursuit.

The high-speed chase came to an end in College Station when the passenger of the vehicle caused the driver to stop the car, according to officials. The passenger immediately stepped out of the vehicle and surrendered authorities say.

According to officials, the driver of the vehicle then fled on foot and is still at large.

Police are asking residents to call CSPD if someone seems out of place. Authorities are actively searching the Edelweiss neighborhood south of Rock Prairie.

Authorities say to use caution if you see the suspect and don’t try to approach.
