GAUSE, Texas (KBTX) - The Gause Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a spaghetti feed fundraiser Saturday to help raise money for its Assistant Chief and his family.

The family home was burned down early Saturday morning while the family was out of town. The family says structure was a complete loss, along with most of their possessions inside.

Wade Timmerman, Assistant Chief of Gause VFD and the homeowner, says he is very thankful for all of the support from organizations like The American Red Cross, the Texas Fire Walkers, and all of their friends and family who have stepped up.

“We didn’t ask for it but they wouldn’t take no for an answer,” said Timmerman. “So as far as family, friends, the churches here, have all been great and that’s pretty much everyone here has stopped by and said something.”

The spaghetti feed will begin at 11 a.m. at the Gause Volunteer Fire Department located at 102 N. Main Street, Gause, Tx, 77857.

Plates are $10, and there will be homemade baked goods. Cash donations are also being accepted. More information can be found on the fire department’s Facebook.
