Minnesota Forward Pharrel Payne commits to Texas A&M

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Minnesota men’s basketball forward transfer Pharrel Payne announced via social media that he is committed to Texas A&M.
Payne averaged 10.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game last season as a sophomore. He made 19 starts in 32 games played for the Gophers last season and shot .602 from the field. He totaled 44 blocks and 10 steals.
Payne is the second transfer from the Big Ten to commit to A&M in as many days after Nebraska’s CJ Wilcher committed on Monday.
