OMAHA, Nebraska (KBTX) - Texas A&M pitcher Evan Aschenbeck was named the Stopper of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Friday morning at a Press Conference at Charles Schwab Field.

The Stopper of the Year Award is given annually to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball. The NCBWA started giving the award in 2005.
