Armstrong signs with Mets

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M pitcher Eldridge Armstrong signed an undrafted free agent contract with the New York Mets.

Armstrong is the first undrafted Aggie to sign a contract this year after seven of his teammates were selected in the 2024 MLB Draft.

In his lone season in Aggieland, the right-handed junior made four appearances and struck out seven in 4.2 innings of work. The righty’s best outing of the season came in regional play as Armstrong held Grambling scoreless over 2.1 innings in the Bryan-College Station Regional and punched out three.
