Kappa Sigma’s Wicked Woods supports Military Heroes Campaign, Brazos Valley Food Bank
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M’s Kappa Sigma is back with its Halloween trail, Wicked Woods. All proceeds from this philanthropy event will benefit the Military Heroes Campaign and the Brazos Valley Food Bank.
Wicked Woods has raised more than $120,000 over the last three years. The event includes a maze, an ax house, an asylum, a graveyard, and much more. This year, the goal is to raise $50,000.
The president of Wicked Woods, Christian Smith, said he was dedicated to raising money for his community.
“If we don’t reach a certain threshold we always try to make up with that in a monetary value,” Smith said.
Brazos Valley Food Bank’s communications and development director, Amanda Stark, is excited to feed more mouths by being a part of this philanthropy event.
“The food that’s brought in during this event, the money that’s donated during this event, really helps us be able to serve those people in a really consistent way,” added Stark.
The haunted trail will be open to the public through October 31 on weekdays only.
