Brazos County Commissioners to receive Groundwater Conservation District’s annual update

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District (BVGWCD) will present its 2024 Annual Report to the Brazos County Commissioners Court on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the County Administration Building.

According to the posted agenda, BVGWCD General Manager Alan Day will discuss topics including well permitting, aquifer production, and long-term water planning. This update comes as water infrastructure remains a significant issue across Texas.

The Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District manages groundwater resources in Brazos and Robertson counties. The district’s mission is to protect and conserve groundwater while ensuring its availability for future generations.
