COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Recent College Station graduate Wilson Stapp will play football at Texas A&M as a preferred walk-on.

The running back was part of a Cougars squad that went to back-to-back state title games in his freshman and sophomore seasons. The Cougars advanced to the regional semifinals in both his junior and senior campaigns.

As a senior, Stapp led College Station with 1150 yards on 185 carries and 10 touchdowns. He also hauled in 20 catches for 158 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns.

Stapp joins a couple of other hometown kids to join the Aggies this season, Consol’s Colton Chmelar and Will Hargett.
