COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - First Responders from all across the state made their way to Aggieland to share ideas about how to improve rural healthcare.

The Texas EMS Alliance gathered to share advancements in the field as well as bouncing ideas of rural health care off of one another.

“By being here and talking to each other and finding out maybe how they addressed different scenarios or how we work together to come up with a solution has been a tremendous benefit,” said Butch Oberhoff, president of the Texas EMS Alliance.

One of the biggest points of discussion this year is how first responders in rural counties can provide more in-house care without having to drive hours to nearby hospitals.
