Boeing Home: Electrical engineer, former pilot turns retired Boeing 727 into an airplane home

(InvestigateTV) — Tucked away in the woods near Portland, Oregon, sits an unexpected sight.

This retired Boeing 727 has become home to electrical engineer and former pilot Bruce Campbell. The massive jet has sat in the Oregon woods for 25 years, complete with cockpit, airline seats, and flight controls.

Campbell bought the plane from a salvage company in 1999 for $100,000 after being inspired by footage of an aircraft boneyard in the Arizona desert. The plane was flown from Greece to Oregon, then hauled to its current location in pieces before being reassembled.
