The new home will be built at 3080 Teller Drive in the Austin’s Colony community in northeast Bryan.

Representatives from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, KBTX, and several local and national sponsors gathered at the site for the groundbreaking, celebrating what will be the fifth Dream Home given away in the Bryan-College Station area.

Built by Ranger Home Builders, the house is part of the annual fundraiser that supports St. Jude’s mission to help cure and prevent childhood cancers. All money raised stays focused on patient care and research, helping ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

Tickets for the giveaway can be reserved beginning April 9, 2026.

Each ticket costs $100, with only 8,000 tickets available. The home will open to the public for tours in late April and will be open every weekend through June 7.

The house and additional prizes will be given away on Thursday, June 11, live on KBTX.

Local sponsors for this year’s Dream Home include KBTX, Ranger Home Builders, Austin’s Colony, Aggie 96, ANCO, HUB International, David Gardner’s Jewelers, Dream Day Foundation, and Bock Realty Group. National sponsors include Brizo, Shaw Industries, Trane, Bosch, and Kichler.

Organizers say the goal this year is to raise $800,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Anyone living in the Brazos Valley within qualifying zip codes is eligible to reserve a ticket.

Last year’s Dream Home winner, Roy Lopez, learned he had won while undergoing cancer treatment himself.

As construction begins, organizers say the Dream Home is about more than bricks and mortar. Every ticket sold helps families focus on what matters most, helping their child live.

The mission continues until no child dies from cancer.
