Diamondbacks select Texas A&M outfielder Jake Duer in 18th round of 2026 MLB Draft

(KBTX) - The Arizona Diamondbacks have selected Texas A&M outfielder Jake Duer 536th overall in the 18th round of the 2026 MLB Draft at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Sunday night.

In just one year with the Aggies, Duer hit .304 with a .406 on-base percentage and a .479 slugging percentage. He drove in 54 runs, scored 38 times and collected 13 doubles, two triples and seven home runs.

He came through with multiple hits in 22 games and drove in multiple runs on 13 occasions. In the 2026 College Station Regional, Duer went 3-for-5 against the field with a double, a home run and six RBI.

Before arriving in College Station, Duer notched a .345 career batting average, a .929 OPS, 82 RBI and 72 runs scored.
