Mother gets probation for injecting feces into her child’s IV while at hospital

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVG/Gray News) - An Ohio woman has pleaded guilty to a charge of child endangerment for injecting feces into her child’s IV at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Tiffany Le Sueur, 35, was put on probation and will have a follow-up hearing in April of next year.

Columbus authorities said an investigation was initiated involving Le Sueur back in February after hospital staff reported her possibly injecting a foreign substance into her child’s intravenous port.

Medical staff said they started monitoring the mother’s hospital visits following that first report when they observed her injecting what they believed to be human waste into the child’s IV.

According to a complaint, the 35-year-old put what appeared to be fecal matter into a syringe and injected it into the child’s left hand IV line.

Le Sueur was detained by police, and the child was treated by medical personnel.

A previous order also restricted Le Sueur from having unsupervised contact with minors following her initial arrest.
