Nabou named to Rimington Trophy Preseason Watch List
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M graduate offensive lineman Mark Nabou Jr. has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2026 Rimington Trophy, the Rimington Trophy committee announced Thursday.
The award is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football.
Anchoring the Aggie Offense
Nabou Jr., a graduate student hailing from Lynnwood, Washington, enters the 2026 season as Texas A&M’s lone returning starter along the offensive line.
Last season, Nabou Jr. was a durable and vital presence upfront, appearing in all 13 games and making 12 starts. His efforts anchored a potent Aggies offense that amassed:
- 2,401 rushing yards
- 3,378 passing yards
- 28 rushing touchdowns
Elite Frontline Protection
With Nabou Jr. leading the push, Texas A&M’s offensive line established itself as one of the country’s most disciplined and effective units. In national rankings last season, the Aggies finished:
- 3rd nationally in tackles for loss allowed (3.31 per game)
- 9th nationally in fourth-down conversion percentage (.706)
- 19th nationally in scoring offense (33.8 points per game)
- 23rd nationally in total offense (444.5 yards per game)
The Rimington Trophy committee will continue to monitor centers throughout the season, with the winner officially announced in December.
