I have been blessed to call the Brazos Valley home since 1985. I transferred to Sam Houston State University in August to wrap up my journalism degree that I started at Alvin Community College following high school graduation in Alvin HS in 1982. I jokingly tell people 'I did two years in Huntsville' (not only is it the home of Sam Houston State Univesity, but also for the Texas Department of Corrections) before taking a job at KBTX in August 1987. I enjoy keeping people informed about sports in the Brazos Valley. While a Saturday night at Kyle Field covering the Aggies is a big rush, I also get excited about covering a high school game in small towns like Bremond or Hearne covering the Tigers or Eagles! I met my wife Lori at the station (she took a job in sales in 1988). While we were co-workers for many years, she is now the station manager so I work for her! (both at the station and at home) We have three grown kids: Ryan, Tyler & Shelby. I enjoy working with my hands when I'm not covering sports. I built a chicken coop during the shelter-n-place order during COVID-19 meaning I have six chickens to go along with my Dalmation Jase.
