For more than a decade, I've had the opportunity to be part of the incredible team at KBTX. I'm proud to lead a newsroom that's been consistently honored as among the best in the state of Texas and that's deeply committed to the community we serve.

In 2019, KBTX was honored with the Texas Association of Broadcasters' Bonner McLane Public Service Award, and took home regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for best newscast, breaking news and continuing coverage.

In 2018, KBTX was recognized as the Texas AP Broadcasters/Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas Station of the Year.

Each day at KBTX offers a new adventure, and the chance to work with an amazing team to tell the stories of the Brazos Valley. The most satisfying part of my job, however, is when it allows me to give back to the community, working with charities like Scotty’s House, Books and a Blanket and the American Cancer Society. I currently serve as a coordinator of the Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Brazos program.

I joined the KBTX team in 2008 as a newscast director and commercial producer and I've been fortunate to work on a number of different sides of our business.

As a newscast director, I was part of the team behind KBTX's first Lone Star EMMY wins for best newscast. In 2012, I led the creative team behind "The Little Creamery", a documentary special that told the Blue Bell Ice Cream story in the words of Ed and Howard Kruse. It was honored that year with a Lone Star EMMY nomination.

Later that year, I stepped away from the newsroom and I oversaw the relaunch of CW Texas as CW8 Aggieland. In 2013, we were honored with the network's APEX Model Affiliate distinction.

While I enjoyed working in marketing and promotions, the pace of news drew me back quickly and I returned to overseeing KBTX's news operations in 2014 before being named news director in 2015.

I'm a proud Sam Houston State Bearkat and currently live in College Station with my wife Breanne, our two children and an aging dachshund that thinks he's much more imposing than his size suggests. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, classic films and spending time with friends and family.
