Kathleen Witte

Kathleen Witte was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She studied journalism and political science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, learning the broadcast ropes in the student newscast, Carolina Week.

Kathleen began her career at KALB in Alexandria, Lousiana. In 2015, she moved to Texas to join the KBTX team and continue her work in the Gray Television family.

Monday through Friday, Kathleen anchors First News at Four, bringing long-form conversations on national and local issues to the Brazos Valley. Then, catch her anchoring News 3 at Six with the biggest local stories of the day.

In her spare time, Kathleen enjoys book club, working out, pursuing her Master's degree at the University of Missouri, and traveling to see friends and family. She is on the Executive Advisory Board at the Salvation Army of Bryan-College Station, a graduate of Leadership Brazos Class of 2016, and a regular volunteer emcee for numerous local non-profit events. She is an active member of Friends Congregational Church in College Station.

Kathleen lives in Bryan with her cat, dog, and husband, fellow KBTX employee and anchor of Brazos Valley This Morning, Josh Ninke.
