Kayleigh Thomas
Meteorologist

Kayleigh grew up southeast of Houston in Deer Park, Texas. She caught the weather bug thanks to Hurricane Ike in 2008. Her family hunkered down and waited out the storm while keeping a close eye on the local TV station. From that point on, she was determined to help people the same way they had helped her and her family. Kayleigh attended Texas A&M University, following in the footsteps of her brother, father, uncle, aunt, and grandfather.
While at A&M, Kayleigh was a founding member of Texas A&M Weather Broadcasting (alongside her now coworker, Drew). She also was an active member of the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society and the Texas A&M Women's Chorus. After graduating, Kayleigh ventured to West Texas and joined the team at KTAB in Abilene, Texas. She is ecstatic to return to Aggieland and forecast for the Brazos Valley.
In her spare time, Kayleigh enjoys spending time with her pup Mia, aka Mia-terologist, and is always looking for new spots to go on walks. She loves finding new coffee spots and trying her hand at new recipes in the kitchen. If you see her around the Brazos Valley, give her a "Howdy!"
