“Every day is different. Sometimes it’s helping a family in need and sometimes it’s helping people on the best day of their lives like a wedding or the hardest day of their lives like a funeral and realizing that God’s at work in the midst of all of it,” said Carlson.
When the winter weather sent the Brazos Valley into a deep freeze in February, we witnessed many of our neighbors stepping up to help others. A good example of that is La’Shay Bookman, a caretaker at Comfort Keepers.
In our series Be Remarkable we often recognize someone who is passionately helping one or two organizations but this week’s winner is someone who is sharing her time, love, and labor with several groups across the Brazos Valley.
