Abby joined the News 3 team in March 2016, coming to the Brazos Valley from the Columbus, Ga. Market.

Born and raised in Nashville, Tenn., Abby has had a lifelong passion for reporting. From her early years as the reporter for her local 4-H club, Abby’s passion for journalism has only grown. This passion carried her all the way to The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Abby graduated a semester early from UTK with a double major in Journalism and Political Science.

While at the University of Tennessee, Abby gained first-hand experience in a number of different media roles. She interned and later worked as a Video Journalist for WBIR – the Knoxville NBC affiliate. Abby reported for UT Today – a show that ran daily on The Volunteer Channel and weekly on WBIR. She was selected as one of four students to participate in a Global News Reporting Workshop in Zagreb, Croatia where she reported throughout the country, and produced a 30 minute show for WBIR. During the summer of 2014, Abby was a College Associate at FOX News Channel in New York, where she worked on the weekly show Huckabee. In September 2014, Abby was the lead anchor and lead interviewer during the 2014 Medal of Honor Convention in Knoxville. Her work was later used in a documentary focused on the event, Conspicuous Gallantry.
Abby's first job after college was reporting in Columbus, Ga., where she established the East Alabama Bureau for WRBL.

Now, Abby could not be happier to be reporting in the Bryan/College Station area for KBTX.
