Job Description

Job Description: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Parking Facilities and Maintenance Unit Manager, Parking Facilities and Maintenance Unit Assistant Manager and supervisory staff. Responsible for managing the office activities and providing necessary support. Serves as the point of contact for office equipment and supplies. Maintains receipts and reconciles procard statements. Serves as personal assistant to the Parking Facilities and Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager. Serves as office manager for the Parking Facilities and Maintenance Unit. Develops, evaluates, and ensures adherence to office procedures. Serves as coordinator between various areas for duties such as: ensuring that EEO/Ethics tests are completed in a timely fashion. Supervises the creation, maintenance, and retention of office files and records.

Required Education and Experience: High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of experience in general office or clerical work. Valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain State of Texas class "C" vehicle operator's license within 30 days of employment. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree. Seven years of experience in general office or clerical work including some supervisory experience. Certified Administrative Professional (CAP). Working knowledge of presentation software programs.
