This position will be responsible for overseeing day to day operation and achieving sales objectives and growth of the Messina Hof Vintage House Restaurant, Designer Events, and Villa. It will also be involved with the direct marketing and selling throughout Messina Hof Winery and Resort.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Responsible for achieving goals, maximizing sales and controlling expenses to make departments most profitable and run within budgetary guidelines.
Oversee all aspects, administrative duties, and operations of the Vintage House Front of House and Back of House, Designer Events, and Villa including hiring, training, discipline and managing employee development plans.
Develop and execute promotion, marketing, merchandising, and sales plans to foster aggressive Vintage House, Designer Events, and Villa marketing strategies. This will include coordinating with Marketing/Public Relations Department for all marketing and sales initiatives via social media, advertising, direct public relations, and strategic partnerships.
Responsible for the sales, coordination, planning, event set-up, execution, tear down, and clean-up of: in-house events, contracted events and all aspects of the Messina Hof Winery & Resort as a whole hospitality entity.
Provide full service event planning and customer service for weddings, social, and corporate events and deliver a remarkable experience for all guest.
Responsible for menu development and execution for events and restaurant operation in order to achieve sales goals and customer experience expectations.
Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls.
Developing sales staff through motivation, counseling, and ongoing training.
Responsible for maximizing occupancy of Villa Bed and Breakfast through event, online, and direct sales bookings.
Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands Messina Hof’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
Reconcile and make strategic financial decisions on the general ledger, profit and loss, trial balance, and budget preparations for all hospitality departments.
Be responsible for all cash and non-cash transactions.
Promote tours, tastings, parties, and repeat sales at the winery.
Meet all food production standards set by Messina Hof by maintaining a 95 or better score in Health Department Inspections and maintaining to Health Department codes.
Ensure accurate and timely filing of reports, including sales reports, retail pricing surveys, meeting minutes, marketing management, expense reports, etc.
Provide management with marketing intelligence, including sales trends, product developments and competitor activity.
Establish rapport and maintain relationships with customers, clients, distributors, vendors and industry partners.
Professionally represent Messina Hof at applicable meetings and events.
Other duties as designated.
Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in sales and hospitality.
Experience in management, events or a related field working closely with the public.
Must have active TABC Certification and Kitchen Managers Certification at all times.
Ability to plan and implement sales strategies and has demonstrated and proven sales results.
Able to use a personal computer for register transactions, word processing, spreadsheets and budgeting of expenses incurred, on a monthly basis. Ability to read P&L’s and control cost centers.
Good communication skills, personnel skills, highly motivated, and highly organized.
Must be detailed oriented and able to coordinate various activities simultaneously. Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Must have good written and oral communication skills.
Must have basic wine knowledge to help customer service.
Ability to deal with guests, co-workers, and business associates in a courteous and professional manner. Must be people and hospitality oriented.
