UPDATE : Traffic on Highway 6 is back to normal after crews cleaned up the area of Highway 6 surrounding a dangerous accident.

The tractor trailer, which overturned while carrying a flammable substance, was turned upright and towed away just before noon on Wednesday.
ORIGINAL STORY : An accident involving an 18-wheeler carrying propane Wednesday forced the closure of southbound and northbound lanes of Highway 6 between Navasota and the Millican exit in Brazos County.
Multiple agencies, including a HAZMAT response team from College Station Fire Department, responded to the accident scene.
Northbound traffic of Highway 6 is being forced to exit FM 2154 as a detour. Southbound traffic is being forced onto exit FM 159.
Residents in the immediate area of the accident are being told to shelter in place as crews work to unload the contents of the overturned tanker into another tanker.
College Station Fire on social media said the highway could be closed throughout the morning. It's unclear if anyone has been injured.
