WACO, Texas (KWTX) The driver of an SUV lost control of his vehicle Thursday morning and crashed it into a house, which sent one man to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Police, fire and EMS units were sent at about 8:15 to an address on Clifton Street, just south of East Waco Drive after a caller reported a vehicle had crashed into a house.

Initial reports from the fire department were that there was one person lying on the ground outside the home.

Once first responders surveyed the scene they determined the driver was badly enough hurt to require a trip to the emergency room.

There was no one else in the vehicle and no one inside the home when the crash happened.
