41st President arrives at St. Martin’s Episcopal in Houston

HOUSTON, Tex. (KBTX) - The body of former President George H.W. Bush arrived Wednesday at the St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston.

Prior to his arrival Secret Service and Houston Police worked together to secure the church and the surrounding areas. A military band ushered the 41st President into the church where he will lie in repose until 7:00 a.m. Thursday.

The public uses a shuttle system from Second Baptist Church to get to St. Martin’s. Officials say they are able to get 3,250 through the line in one hour.

A second funeral for the president will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
