COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - The Lincoln Recreation Center in College Station held their 4th Annual Dream Works Conference on Saturday.

The event was created to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The day started with an awards ceremony recognizing community members who have spent many hours serving others.

Breakout sessions were held in the afternoon and featured presentations that focus on character, leadership and personal development.

The night ended with the Brazos Valley Community Choir leading some praise and worship.

"It's important because we want people to always remember the life and legacy of Dr. King and to also remember his dream and for us to continue living his dream," said Cheletia Johnson, recreation supervisor.
