BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - An ambulance ride can cost you a lot of money, so some are turning to ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft to get a trip to the hospital and cut down on costs.

But emergency personnel say it's not worth putting your life at risk to save a buck.

every second counts when it comes to getting proper medical treatment during an emergency.
