10 injured, 1 dead in school van accident in Trinity County

A tragic crash claimed the life of a 7 year old girl in Trinity County Thursday.
Journey Magness was on her way to school when her school van was rear-ended.
Magness was rushed to the hospital where she died.
Authorities say the girl was the daughter of Trinity County Sheriff's Deputy David Magness.
Several others in the van were hurt and taken to the hosiptal. All of them have now been treated and released.
The crash is still under investigation - but the 17 year old driver who hit the van told law enforcement that she was blinded by sunlight before the crash.
An account has been set up at First National Bank in Trinity to help the family cover expenses.
