ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tex. (KBTX) - The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is getting ready for the 33rd Annual Dr. OD Butler Forage Field Day on May 17 at the Circle X Land and Cattle Company Camp Cooley Division in Franklin.

The event is a full day of educational topics focusing on grass production, soil health, hay production equipment and plant identification. This year, eminent domain will be a big topic of discussion.

Anyone is welcome to come. To pre-register, call the Brazos County Extension office at (979) 823-0129 or the Robertson County Extension office at (979) 828-4270. Admission is $25.

The net proceeds from this field day are used to fund scholarships for graduating seniors. Last year, four $1,000 scholarships were distributed to deserving youth.
