Aggieland Humane Society needs more adoption families

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - The Aggieland Humane Society needs your help finding loving homes for pets.

Right now, they have 53 cats available for adoption but they have dozens of foster cats and kittens waiting to come there when they have enough space.

The Humane Society gets lots of calls for missing pets during the July 4 holiday noise from fireworks. They were able to reunite a German Shepherd with their owner in Southwood Valley because of a microchip.

38 pets were reported lost or found on July 4 and 5.

"We had two pets that came here that were returned to the owners but I'd like to remind people to update your information on your tags and microchips," said Kathy Bice, Aggieland Humane Society Executive Director.

They've reunited 14 pets so far from the July 4 holiday.
