Texas A&M athletes and staff are once again headed to Haiti for a week in July to serve in a mission trip for Mission of Hope - Haiti. The organization seeks to impact, educate, minister, and feed the people of Haiti through several programs. Now, this group of Aggies is looking for your support in helping them get there later this summer. For the third year in a row, student athletes served in Haiti in May, but a second group is gearing up to serve in July.
"It was a very productive and prosperous trip," Mikado Hinson, Director of Player Development, said. "This time, we have spring sport athletes who were saying, 'Mikado, we really want to go, but we're still competing at that time.' You don't want to disqualify people from going."
The second group of athletes will go from July 14-21, including softball, golf, and track and field performers.
"We're going to go and give hope, but the beautiful people of Haiti turn around and give us hope," Hinson said. "We're just a small piece of that, but we're honored to be a part of it."
