Army Surgeon General swears in local Texas A&M vet student

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - A Texas A&M University veterinarian student is now a member of the U.S. Army.

In a virtual commissioning ceremony Wednesday, Adrian Arellano was one of more than 100 health care professionals taking the oath of office.

Arellano just finished his first year of veterinary school and will enter the Army as a second lieutenant. Arellano is now a medical officer in the U.S. Army.
