The Bush family matriarch is buried on the grounds of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, alongside her husband George, who passed away November 30, 2018, and her daughter Robin, who was just 3-years-old when she died of leukemia.
The grave site is free for the public to visit and pay their respects.
The museum also has a special exhibit dedicated to the former first lady and her work with literacy, AIDS awareness and prevention, and volunteerism.
"A woman, a treasure that was a role model to me. I was teaching 7th graders when they were so influential in this country, and her love for reading, her inspiring young people made it easy to teach." Carolyn Ogle said while visiting the library.
The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum is open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, noon - 5:00 p.m.
