Blackjack VFD truck involved in crash while responding to emergency

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tex. (KBTX)- A fire truck responding to an emergency call Friday night was involved in an accident in Robertson County.

Photos sent to KBTX from a viewer show significant damage to the vehicle belonging to Blackjack Volunteer Fire Department.

The crew was on its way to a water rescue call when it collided with a pickup on FM 2549 near McCarver Road.

A witness to the crash tells KBTX the fire truck was attempting to pass a vehicle on the road when it hit the pickup. Nobody was seriously injured in the crash, said the witness.

The water rescue call was located at OSR and Jack Rabbit Lane, according to scanner traffic. Nobody there was injured.
