CHAPPELL HILL, Tex. (KBTX) - The Bluebonnets are back and that means it's time for the annual Bluebonnet Festival in Washington County.
Chappell Hill is the home to the official State of Texas Bluebonnet Festival.
More than 15,000 to 20,000 people are expected to be in town Saturday and Sunday for the celebration. There will be plenty to do for visitors of all ages.
"It's a tribute to the state flower, the bluebonnet. We have hundreds of jewelry, arts and crafts exhibitors, live entertainment, food court, children's activities. All our historical buildings in Downtown Chappell Hill will be open for people to tour," said Joel Romo, President of the Chappell Hill Historical Society.
There are also areas around town where you can get family photos in those bluebonnets.
Saturday activities are from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. Sunday the schedule is from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
